I over simplified it. There interference from a military facility that makes it near impossible to catch anything over the air. I'm not a complete techno-tard so I've tried just about anything but I'm not giving any more money to the comcast overlords

Nope it's cut completely but mainly due to where I live. There's a rather large military base whose antennae block most signals.

In my area we have to pay for those free over the air channels. Comcast considers it basic cable and removed our ability to watch it over the air.
