Putting the exploitive cliché aside for a moment, I really wanted to see ***spoilers*** Mason get a cattle prod up where the sun don't shine.

Well, it's nice to know that the whole Margot/Will thing could have been even more distasteful if the other writers had their way. Still very disappointed though, I expected better from this show.

I don't get the gore argument, which is probably the most common one I see. I mean, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are hugely popular and far more gory and violent. I guess the way Hannibal lets your imagination run with a lot of scenarios can make it worse in some ways, but still.

3. Yes? I think most people watch the show with an idea of what's going to happen, so the surprises come from how things play out, not the result.
4. Alana is Alan Bloom in the books, he's a minor character and they gender-swapped him and expanded the part.

PB keeping that photo of her and Marceline inside her closet reminded me of that episode of South Park where Tom Cruise and John Travolta were trapped in the closet, only slightly more subtle. Still, I wouldn't have blinked an eye if the ooo version of R. Kelly just appeared and started singing.
