Buick Encore, all day, every day. The seats are actually pretty nice.

Good. Now bring back the Fiesta.
For the U.S. it was a vain attempt to jump into a departing train. The Renegade and HR-V beat it to market by a half-decade and were better in every way, shape and form.
They killed off the Fiesta and Fusion in NA for this thing and now it's dead in less than 5 years. What the actual fuck. I hate this consumer market.
The Escape is profitable and sells well, so it’s not going anywhere.
Exactly. People are willing to give up luxury and electronic doodads if they can get good gas economy, which the EcoSport didn’t provide even with ‘eco’ in the name. An Escape got just as good mileage with more room. Why not plop down a few extra thousand for that?
That thing was a pile of junk. It’s horrendous to look at and the rear door is absolutely stupid. It got horrible gas mileage for vehicle its size as well. It doesn’t even get in the 30mpg range.
I just saw one of these on the road and was amused by how the LEDs make the car look like its sad.
Good, it’s particularly awful.
They need to sell the Puma here.
nothing of value was lost. it was a crap patch job on a vehicle meant for another market. i cant believe people spent money on them.
I will note that Ford is putting out a cheaper, hybrid truck.
My xA (bought new in 2006) is still running amazingly in 2021 with 170k miles. Never had to take it to a mechanic for anything. Just regular oil changes and service every 60k miles.
I dated a girl with a 1st gen back in the day, and those things were tiny. Some of her friends and I pranked her by picking up the back end of the car and turning it sideways in a parking space, trapping it between the cars on either side. The new RAV4s look almost as big as the 1st gen Highlanders to me.
There is one in my town that delivers for Pizza Hut, car looks awesome with a little pizza hat on it :)
I said that more from a standpoint of NVH tuning. A twist beam setup is inherently worse for ride quality than a fully independent setup, like most manufacturers have been doing from the factory since the 90s... coupled with the fact that the Corolla Cross is on the TNGA-C platform, and most of the cars there don’t…
The people who will buy this will not care if it’s slow. The Crosstrek sells like crazy, and it has similar power to weight. Nobody really cares. However,
169 horsepower in a compact no way thats “ slow”. Most likely a throttle mapping issue. Ive noticed with toyota cvts the power is there but you do have to put your foot down if you want to actually accelerate rapidly
