I remember reading about The Dale in “365 Cars You Must Drive” as a teen. I was fascinated by the story and being a closeted transwoman who didn’t even know what gender dysphoria was and the only trans person I knew of at the time was Chaz Bono. The story about The Dale will always have a place in me. 

I find that the manual gearbox enthusiasts toxic af and it has put me off with the idea of driving one. I view cars as personal spaceships and when was the last time you saw the Millennium Falcon or the Enterprise with a manual gearbox?

As long as the vehicle can hit 70-75 mph comfortably why does it need to be fast. This is a family crossover suv not a sports car.
