Yeah, I’m with you on that one.  The Ford EV definitely counts as “reasonably sporty”.

I never thought I’d say this about an Escalade...but it looks a little dull. The white one looks a bit better, but the brown one could be confused for a Tahoe or some more plebeian SUV.

Actually didn’t May say that they got the batteries or some component from a “milk float”?

You forgot the Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust, aka...Geoff.

Like a lot of people in this threat, this got me thinking about the F&F franchise.

Awesome write-up.

Yeah, came down here to post that, it was pretty solid.

Yes, came here to post that. You have business people and design folks who grew up with images like this in their heads of what “the future” looked like. They are doing their best to make it happen.

Wait, they took the roof off with a circular saw, and now you need an umbrella!

Got it.

Hmm, so...

Agreed, ideally the Houston organizers can fix that. They need a serpentine set up leaving, that should fix it. haha

Great article. I attend Katie’s in (near) DC pretty often and I’m not sure there is as much of an issue there. Not saying there haven’t been enthusiastic departures (before someone posts a YouTube video, I’m sure there have) but it’s pretty low key.

The Porsche is a performance car. The Tesla is a luxury sedan. One will track all day* and tear up the autobahn, they other wont.

Unideal. But let’s take a look at the likely uses of this car.

Lightning bolts from the fingers works wonders on the bottom line.

It’s way too quiet as currently set up. I would prefer to have some sort of baffled exhaust where you could push a button and open it up a bit.  Compared to the Focus RS and Veloster N, the CTR sounds pretty dull.  Not sure this was the ideal fix, but it’s something.

Great article. I’m 43 and “stuck” between (mostly) enjoying a well-paying day job and loving a part time automotive journalist career. One that didn’t even pay until a few years ago, I just did it because I enjoyed it.

Ok boomer

Even his beloved Leaf has wilted.

That was always my take!
