Would you rather I be talking about having no way of knowing if I have friends who died tonight? I’d rather avoid thinking about it until the names are released.

I’m just going with common sense. It seems EXTREMELY unlikely that this black cop would decide that this situation, in an apartment complex full of people, knowing he’s being filmed by at least this woman, is the time to shoot and kill an unarmed black man for no reason, and then plant a gun that he just happened to…
Why was a man with a brain injury serious enough to keep him from following police orders allowed to drive a vehicle?
Waiting for evidence is all well and good as long as that evidence is coming. What if the police never release their body cam videos? Police have the power of evidence, here, so we can at least be outraged enough that they have to release the footage.
So what the fuck is the point of body cameras if they only want to release it when it backs up their version of the “truth”??
Her last few statements when she is saying “Dont do it” seem to be directed at her husband. But like so much in this case, I don’t have a clear answer.
Said this to somebody else too.
For whatever it’s worth, “Open carry” does not mean “anything is cool”.
I’m astounded by how calm and firm Rakeyia Scott manages to stay throughout the whole ordeal - it’s astounding that Keith’s own wife stays calmer than a group of flapping police that are meant to be able to control their emotions. The woman deserves a fucking medal.
Maybe.....then again.....maybe not. Depends on the nature of the trauma. Also, depending on the nature of the trauma he shouldn’t be left alone. We still do not have the whole picture.
I get it. When they say “drop the gun”, that was the cue for someone to get the drop piece ready.
Cops are absolutely known to attack people while yelling “stop resisting” so them yelling “drop the gun” for no reason wouldn’t surprise me.
I trust ANYONE else before I trust the police, these days.
Of they say it automatically, because that’s how they were taught to react. These are not bright people and they are constantly told that everyone is trying to kill them, all the time. And that, if they thought someone had a gun or was reaching, they wouldn’t get in trouble for shooting “first.”
“...26-year-old Justin Carr, was shot and killed. Police announced the arrest of Rayquan Borum, 21, on Friday morning. Borum has been charged with murder.”
This is rough. Sounds like the officers legitimately believe he had a gun. Whatever he had he did not drop. An officer tells me to drop anything and I’m dropping everything. Including my pants.
I do realize there is white supremacy in the U.S. I never said there wasn’t. In fact, I linked to a video that states exactly that.
Sure. I don’t listen. And by the way, I’m a white male. Which I will make you hate me more but there’s nothing I can do about it.
I think you’re completely missing my point. Right back at you on the gaslighting. I listen every chance I get. I’ve asked black people about their experiences growing up. I’ve asked them their personal opinions on the situation. When a POC speaks about the issue, I listen.
See? That’s what breaks my heart! You shouldn’t have to explain to any child something like that. Let them have their innocence for a few years for fuck’s sake, they’re small children!
