Hm. I was thinking it was so common in horror movies because it’s so common in real life? Every woman I know has been sexually assaulted in one way or another.

Hush was great, and the element of the deaf protagonist was novel, interesting, and well implemented as a plot device. Really good movie.

There’s nothing quite like dictating what women are allowed to wear in public in the name of feminism.

and an act against the freedom of Muslims to practice their religion. But come on! It is precisely for freedom that we are fighting.

“Muslim women are free to do whatever they want!”*

You don’t make people free by taking away their choices and controlling what they wear.

I really don’t think it was about that and I really, really don’t think he’s trying to police women. I think he’s making a subjective statement about how pushing your physical appearance to its absolute limits can result in grotesqueries.

As for this girl though, come on already. My eyes can’t roll hard enough. This is display for display sake.

That’s code for “I am about to say something incredibly dumb that perverts what it means to actually care about civil rights”

that was way too many words to say “if you don’t agree with my narrow world view, you suck.”

If you want change, EARN IT.

This is such a strange, uniquely American idea. It’s not The Military Anthem. It’s not The Troops Anthem. It’s the National Anthem. It’s for all of the people. It is not profession-specific.

It’s too bad you hate America and our freedom to protest. Perhaps you would be more comfortable in Russia?

It means “I’m making attempts to inoculate myself from serious criticism of my ignorant diatribe.”

I’m not sure if this answers your question but “Foremost “ is a brand of milk here in Canada.

The troops do not own the anthem.

I’m just going to say this:

What in the world does “I am a foremost civil rights activist” mean?

You REALLY don't want to have baseball players weigh in on this....

Well, Born in the USA isn’t exactly a red, white, and blue song, but very on brand with somebody who is protesting the flag. Though I’m sure at the time, she wasn’t protesting the government after she scored a goal.
