But they didn’t do the right thing in the end, Harvey Dent became Two Face and batman had to be blamed into the killings that Harvey did to the criminals and corrupt police. If the truth that Dent was the one that did it, they would have destroyed Gotham.

So edgy to hate a widely praised performance

As entertaining as Heath Ledger’s Joker is, and likely it is the best portrayal there is, I just found this whole moral dilemma that Batman has, which the Joker plays on to be idiotic. It is like Batman expends more energy not killing the Joker then on saving lives in order to not be exposed as some sort of hypocrite

If the DC movieverse weren't a complete dumpster fire, Kevin Spacey would be a great Penguin.

I want this whole sexual-harrassment-at-Fox thing to get really ugly.

The truth is in the whole movie Batman never beat the Joker. Batman had to rely on faith that Gotham’s citizens will do the right thing, and he lucked out that they did.

The one thing all his fake origin stories have in common is that they all start with a normal, everyday man.

Now playing

I love that the fact the joker won against batman during this one arc, the batman had nothing to stop him and the joker had nothing to lose.

I also think Ledger’s Joker is such a amazing product of its time. You can argue the Joker is first and foremost, an agent of chaos but what makes that really scary is the raw idealism behind it. He’s willing to die on several occasions just so that he can carry forth a message and a worldview that is opposite

While I can see there being more motivation, and I can understand the standard of being able to sympathize with a villain as being important. That said, they aren’t necessary, the Xenomorph in Alien is a great villain. But there is no subtle plot mechanics that are needed to make it so. Ledgers joker tapped into my

Was this your home in 2012?

I wonder how the kid is gonna go to school in Ohio for TWO years without doubt drugs or drinking alcohol? He may be violating probation....

Our legal system makes no fucking sense. One of my staff members has a son in prison for a minor drug offense/breaking probation and is having his life derailed for what was essentially bad life choices that just effected himself. These horrible men ruin two young women’s lives, one of whom committed suicide, and

I went to the University of Dayton. If they want my contribution this school year, they’d better have fucking revoked it.

I was raped in my first year of college. Although I was able to get important segments of life not ruined from that experience (soooo much hard work, time and $$$$$ spent w/ a very good therapist), I was never able to finish college, I tried going back a couple times… just couldn’t make any headway, it’s been over

wanna bet the folks who harassed the families will double down and instead of rethinking their actions will become even more defensive? hope the justice department descends on that sheriff’s office and he gets fired

Well. what was the *house* wearing? Was it all laid out waiting for it like some slutty ranch, or was it trussed up and teasing like a Victorian?

I have a 6 year-old-daughter. I’m nearly 40, so I got to go to high school pre-social media.

Daisy Coleman’s family was harassed out of their town, and their house was burned to the ground.

You know what’s a little stressful about devoting your life to truth and justice? The first truth is that no one gives a fuck about truth or justice. Especially not truth.
