Superboy Prime volunteers! He's good at punching things!
Man, I loved those old stories.
There was one old comic where exposure to red kryptonite made Superman's hair, beard, and nails grow really long. In the resolution, it took his, Supergirl's, and Krypto's combined heat vision to cut through it. Of course, that was deep in the silver age, so your mileage may vary.
Good point.
Muppets riding bikes happened way back in 1979, in The Muppet Movie. I believe it was in there just as Jim Henson's way of saying 'I can do anything with Muppets'.
But even the steampunk Batman Elseworlds story had Batman in it!
Yeah, in retrospect, the brownies were a warning sign about what George Lucas found great about humor characters. Franjean and Rool are never anywhere near as bad as Jar Jar, but the seeds are there, and their antics are never even as funny as Willow and Madmartigan just arguing with each other about the finer points…

Yeah, so Sorsha joins Leia as a Disney Princess. It's kind of surprising how few new princesses Disney got out of that deal.
Oh, I'm with you, but I'm nobody and Madmartigan is Val Kilmer at his hottest. He had options I could never dream of.
Because she kicked him in the face?
I heard once that Tonka told George Lucas that they could only afford to make proper action figures of a few main characters, or a deep roster that were basically just wargames miniatures. And Lucas, being a nerd at heart, unhesitatingly voted for lots of wargames miniatures. I don’t know if it’s true, but that…
I think the High Aldwin is capable of real magic – he turns a rock into a bird and enchants acorns to turn things to stone. But he teaches Willow one of the most important lessons about magic in the movie – that is, it’s half the raw power to do things and half the bullshit of convincing someone else you have the…
