No, its a grocery store.
No, its a grocery store.
If, instead, it was a lifesize cardboard cutout of Chiwetel Ejiofor with the same clothes on, would people still be objecting?
Why is this so awful again?
that's a bullshit reason. The seriousness of their interrogation and the evidence allegedly contained within them is too important to destroy tapes just because they might be leaked later.
There are numerous international statutes regarding how uniformed national militaries treat each other's POWs in wartime - that do not apply to non-state actors. Ask Daniel Pearl.
Or you're worried about such media being used later or leaked publicly by some grandstanding demagogue in a subsequent administration who presents them without context for personal political gain, despite the fact that you were acting well within the letter of your mandate.
Never said anything about the US doing that to Iraq.
I'm sorry, I missed the part where the US appropriated and nationalized Iraq's petroleum infrastructure. I also seem to remember something about free and fair elections.
Again, your words, not mine. Far too simplistic a view to be considered anything close to accurate.
Your words, not mine.
You're a torture apologist.
As far as your lack of knowledge about the CIA, I suggest reading through this timeline. Below are some of my 'favorite' highlights, but really, there are just so many to choose from.
Torture, I mean 'enhanced interrogation', has been proven to be a terrible way to obtain information, that it often produces false information and then of course there are the human rights violations.
I don't see how anyone who is even remotely familiar with what it is the CIA does could accuse them of honesty.
Well, I'll take Jose Rodriguez's opinion over yours on that one - as he's in a far better position to know. Both Bigelow and Boal spent an enormous amount of time with the CIA getting the screenplay to accurately reflect the realities of the CIA enhanced interrogation program in the immediate wake of 9/11.
You think Bigelow had an agenda? Also, what truth about "that moment" are you talking about?
She's not nearly mature enough for a TD role.
