I caught Bedtime Story one afternoon and watched it with a puzzled look until I realised that it was the source for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It was the wheelchair leg whipping scene where it clicked for me.
Also, the effects for the most part really hold up. I particularly like that the town is already painted in muted pinks and reds as the film starts.
Which reminds me of Freddy Kruger's television series.
