I actually like that the tapes are sequential rather than dated. It turns his psychic awakening into a new day zero, when Henry King was reborn as Brainwave. The tapes record the process of Brainwave subsuming Henry. 

Psychic characters also have a habit of showing up even after they physically “die.”

Dolores HAS anger. That’s the point. That’s why this isn’t like killing a bot in CoD. The hosts have feelings. And if you accept that Dolores is angry, even if just to call her stupid for being angry, then you are already accepting that the hosts are more than their programming.
