America’s last great vice? What about voting against one’s self interest? That still seems to turn a lot of people on.

This is some Grade A+ Prime dad joking here.

I used to attend punk shows and there was this one dude who wore sports goggles a la Horace Grant in the 90s. I think he was trying to avoid your problem.

I used to enjoy telling people about my shining sports moment, when I caught a screwdriver that my brother threw at my face from the top of the stairs when he was mad at me. It took like 30 retellings before it dawned on me that it was pretty messed up that he threw a pointy metal object at my face.

You're thinking of Bill Paxton

Pitcher: “Your frequent replacement of perfectly fine baseballs is excessive.

Umpire: “What? Why wouldn’t the Freemasons find Spaceballs impressive?

[...mutual confused silence...]

Pitcher, Umpire, Batter, and Catcher together: “Bill Pullman sucks.

Valid view point all around and I can’t really fault it. However, it wasn’t exactly what I meant, but I also get that my fanbase criticism there was easy to misinterpret due to my attempt to try not ramble.

I’ll add, I didn’t write that story to be part of the too cool for school crowd. It’s not even a ‘story.’ The first time I met a large group of Pats fans away from home, I was genuinely surprised and repulsed by the people I met in comparison to everyone I’d interacted with in that laid back Pacific coast city.

Don’t worry, I had stopped at Hill Farmstead, as well as a few stores along Route 91.

Bill picking the crust out of his eye was the most exciting part of this video.

Well, as a Pats fan who grew up in MA, I for one am generally embarrassed by the boorish townies, like in my hometown. I strove to be less parochial, so I see where others come from when talking about boston sport fans

These people are only happy when it rains.

Hey, at least the racist bitter old scrawny piece of shit Callahan got fired this off season and we don’t have to listen to him jack-off while he interviews Brady at 415 every Monday morning.

I’ve noticed that there is a section of the Patriots fanbase that I’ve grown to really dislike,

I grew up in Boston, went to college in Western Mass, lived in LA for a summer after graduating, then moved back to Boston for a job (haven’t left since.) So I hadn’t really interacted with Pats fans during the NFL season outside of New England. That’s the backdrop for this story, which I submitted to WYTS a couple

Speaking of fanbases, I’ve noticed that there is a section of the Patriots fanbase that I’ve grown to really dislike, which I do feel a little bit a bad about as a fellow NE fan. It isn’t the obnoxious fans like every successful team has, it is the ‘too cool’ fans who proclaim who they are ashamed to mention how they

Fuck the Patriots. (No insight, no bon mot, just fuck the Patriots.)

Everybody in Boston thinks they’re Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting when really they’re Matt Damon in Team America: World Police.
