Swiftkey is hands down the best. Swiping will NEVER be as fast or as intuitive as tap. Especially cause you can tap with both thumbs as opposed to swiping. This feels way more challenging, though. PoP was a lot of parry/strike/parry/strike dancing. This has way more tactics involved and it makes for a mutch more skill oriented approach.

The closest thing I remember to this as a kid is actually the original Prince of Persia.

Shaq-Fu was actually a very high skill cap game. Back then, instant hadou ken was all the rage and although this was frustrating, it was also very rewarding after being mastered. Far from an abomination, IMO.
