Just defending my opinion. I didn't even think it would be controversial; weirdly, I expected that most people are generally FOR love and forgiveness, but apparently people are hateful, spiteful, and vengeful. Who knew.

Eh.

Eh.

Ohfersure, but I also find her anxious, neurotic demeanor to be kind of sexy. That's the odd part. It's not your typical femme fatale persona, but somehow still very alluring.

"As for your premise that "forgiveness matters most when you are forgiving something unforgivable", I just think you are bad at language. If it is by definition unforgivable then it cannot be forgiven. Unless you are using it colloquially to mean "a heinous act, but that could still potentially be forgivable" in which

"Moral stances, whether rational or not, are often about feeling, as in things that feel wrong and things that feel right. Justice, as an abstract idea, feels right for a lot of people, and I think that is adequate justification."

Justice is revenge perpetrated by society instead of an individual. "Justice" exists because people want to believe that bad things happen to bad people. They want that security net futilely trying to prevent people from doing the wrong thing. I think people aren't comfortable with the idea of forgiveness, especially

Absolutely. That's the tragic part. I'm not saying I'm anticipating a happy ending, I just wish there was a way for him to have one. But there isn't.

Well, I don't believe that there are villains in real life, as silly as that sounds. I don't know. I'm agnostic now, but I was raised Christian, so perhaps I'm more quick to forgive than some secular folks. I don't think Walt's a villain because I don't believe in villains. He's a lonely man who's made some terrible

He's spent three months away from his murderous activities, which is the equivalent of a whole season of the show. I don't know why people think the money motivated him to quit - first of all, that would be dreadful writing. He sees the money and goes, "Yep, that's enough, I'm done!" That would go against Walt's

Ha, you're probably right. Perhaps I was just reading into that because, for some odd reason, I find Lydia extremely attractive. Although I do think it would be interesting for Walt to be tempted with infidelity or have a new sort-of love interest. It's kind of surprising that it hasn't happened yet.

I knew someone would bring that up, although good job avoiding Hitler. I mean… eh. Honestly, if Stalin had wanted to retire in peace and we were 100% certain that he would never do anything despicable again… I'd say let him go. Punishment is vengeance. It's society trying to restore balance to a false, man-made moral
