Agree with you Tom, However in the Subaru world, I would opt her more for a Crosstrek. It’s AWD, a knack for adventure, decent MPG, and space enough for her ventures. It’s also within price range, It also has a 5-star safety rating. Not to mention it has about 3" more clearance than the impreza.
