I don't see that as much a threat to HBO as to the cable companies. If they allow people to sidestep the cable and satellite providers people will still watch HBO. It's not like they would move to some obscure technology that nobody has at home.

I really don't get HBO. Why aren't they doing a Netflix and offer their entire catalog via monthly subscription, at least their original content? I'd pay $5/month for that.
