Fully agree. The Gin Blossoms were/are terrible. Are they still a band? I don't even know. Though, I do love that New Radicals album. Some of the lyrics are cheesy and ridiculous, but on the whole it's a great alt pop album.

It doesn't work like it does in the other versions, where his original name can be rearranged to form the sentence "I am Lord Voldemort." It just rearranges to Lord Volan-De-Mort, his original name in the Russian translation being Tom Narvolo Reddl.
Meh, I don't think it's anything like that. It just wasn't important to the story in-and-of-itself. I mean, how many of your high-school teachers talked openly about their sexuality, gay or straight? Plus, if you go back and read it knowing that he was gay, it fits with the story as told.
To be fair, King did write The Dark Tower series over the course of like 25 years, so I thought it was understandable that he'd want to go back and smooth out some rough spots. I've still never read the revised version, though. (and the last three books were garbage anyway.)

Episodes I-III were unmitigated shit (although I will praise the crazy awesome CGI in Ep. III), but I'm kind of stoked about this. Disney has the resources to do it right, and I'd actually pay money to see a Han Solo or Yoda origin story. Hell, just make those and skip making any sequels altogether.

I don't necessarily think that any of this is actually true in a meaningful sense. Sure, it's fun to talk about Grimes as a writer or audience surrogate, but I don't think that those ideas hold up too well.
