I have the opposite issue - usually my goal is to rip through the OEM tires to the point I can justify an upgrade. On my Wrangler, that was OEM Rubicon BFG’s so I could go to Duratracs, and on my WRX it was the Dunlops to some sweet, sweet, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Originally I thought it was also a fake pipe, but it is actually valved so only open sometimes.  If you look closely, it looks like you can actually see the screw holding it on, but that’s actually the pivot point for the valve.  Most BMW drivers don’t accelerate fast enough to make it open.
