Boston gets around this already, and the parking enforcement “officers” type your plate number into a handheld device (not cell phone). I lets them track if the same car is in 2 hour parking etc the next time they walk by. It’s not super complex/smart, because I got a ticket once when I left, bought groceries, then

I’m right there with you - Can be annoying, but not the end of the world. It really depends on the design of the car, and if it can accommodate one well or not. Wrangler? No problem, screw it into the existing molded screw bosses.

100% agreed.  Those rims and that grille sum up the ownership.  The only excuse would be if for some reason the OEM wheels were stolen, and the thief left these behind (because who would want those??)

I like the idea of a hatch/wagon, but I know I’d buy the sedan so doesn’t make a big difference for me. I’d totally buy the STI with 350-400hp, since it’s easy to justify as a safe, fun, awd sport sedan. Otherwise I’m waiting on a CPO M340 xDrive in the low to mid $30s

The STI Limited has a $0 option for wing delete.  It looks identical to a normal wingless WRX then, save for the STI wheels / badging.

I love my WRX and DD it, but if I stay in a sedan/car I want something faster. I would consider an STi, but I feel like the WRX suspension is plenty firm, and I would really want 350+hp in the same package. I haven’t brought myself to mod it though for warranty concerns.  Considering keeping the WRX when it’s time for

I’m a heathen - the primary design element on my ‘16 WRX that I thought was obnoxious was the hood scoop when I bought it. This is obviously second to the massive wing on the STi, which can only be deleted on the STi Limited. I’ve come to like the scoop, but I also have a thing for cars that are sleepers. If I had

Exactly! And on the Rubi, you pick up most of that money on resale, but with modifications to a sport you wouldn’t. I’m not sure how they are treating it on the JL, but on the Grand Cherokee when you remote start in winter it turns on the heat, heated seats / heated wheel, which is glorious.

Yeah I’m really curious to see what the new Bronco is all about, but a little bit leery after rust claimed my rear passenger wheel well of my Escape at the suspension mount. I also fish, but more in NH around our place up there and miss being able to drive over/around anything. I’m pretty close to Stoneham, but grew

I’m also from the Boston area, and lack the flat brimmed hat / vape in my WRX as well!

I miss my Wrangler, but learned a lot from buying a ‘14 JKU Sport (no power locks/windows). I learned too much during that ownership period to buy another base model Sport:

I traded mine on a WRX almost exactly 3 years ago. I was having a ton of issues with the Wrangler, so it was time for that one to go out to pasture (2014 JKU w/ ~43k miles). I actually saw it pop up for sale a month or two ago in Long Island, and called the dealer to ask if they could pull up the service history.

100% with you. I went from a Wrangler to a WRX, and will most likely go back to an off-road centric SUV for my next vehicle. I loved my JK Wrangler and still miss it, but I can’t build out the new JL Wrangler or JT Truck without hitting $50k which is insanity. I love everything about the 4Runner, except that it’s slow

It pops up on their CLA250 AMG GTR NOT BASE MODEL I DRIVE A MERCEDES dash.

I think it would outprice the market for the Z.  The Red Sport starts at ~$52k, and if they offered that engine in a $32k to $40k package, it would devalue the Red Sport.  The alternative would be to offer it as an upgrade package, sort of like the base Mustang and the Mustang GT.

I think the advances in lighting technologies are also driving problems for less advanced vehicles. Jeep Wranglers have garbage stock headlights - you can’t see anything when there are other cars on the road, but in the middle of nowhere with no traffic they’re fine. As headlights get brighter and brighter, I think

Most likely an AEV Brute (American Expedition Vehicles).

I had to fight the urge to call the new salesperson we dealt with at that dealership and tell him that the dealership’s online marketing practices + the deception by the “seasoned” salesperson that was helping him broker the deal pushed us away.

I’d also add that putting the deal together vs. executing the deal are 2 different things. Perfect example: Decided not to put any additional money into wife’s car, and trade it in on a new Forester.

I hate the look and would definitely remove them, but they probably keep the front bumper cleaner too. With nothing in the gap, when you drive in the rain or through water, water will drip down from your fenders onto the top of the front bumper and sit there. I feel like I constantly had some mud stains on the ends of
