Yeah it’s a blessing and a curse. I’m dying for a 4Runner to add to the fleet, but REALLY don’t want the 4.0 / 5 speed combo for driving dynamics. Would rather wait for the next gen vs. the ~10 year old refreshed-ish bodystyle.

Yeah, it was just between those 2 issues + high used prices that I decided to go brand new.
I’m right there with you:
That’s another part of the A380's demise - The central floor between levels of seating is structural, so the secondary market for converting them to cargo shippers is weak. Boeing doesn’t have the same issue.
But Boeing created the 787 Dreamliner instead of trying to go for bigger is better like Airbus did with the A380. The 747 design has paid for itself many times over at this point. Boeing saw the writing on the wall for massive 4-engined planes, and chose to go a different path.
Also looks like some type of computer on top of the dash.
It depends what you’re storing, frequency that you are opening, etc.

I had a friend who loved her 2 door blazer.
9-7x was based on the Chevy Trailblazer, not Blazer!
Sawzall + Duct Tape
Would you rather have an off-center handle / camera? Also, if you’re only going to leave half open because you have long cargo, it’s nice to be able to pick between 2 different size options, not necessarily being forced to have 50% open.
During the turn, I can’t tell if that’s exhaust from him accelerating, or just salt getting kicked up off of the road, but there’s definitely a bit of a cloud behind the jeep for a second too.
The hinges can also rust because they are flat targets for sand/salt/rocks/debris to hit. They rust almost instantly if the paint gets a chip.
My understanding is that it’s due to the auto transport unions... They won’t let you pick up a car at the factory, so you are required to pay the destination/transportation fee.
100% agree. 6k miles because it was in the shop all the time? Taking an $18,000 bath, or $3/mile of depreciation just for fun? Something is wrong here.
Pretty great value for the original owner though.
I’m right with you. My holdback on the Z8 would be the 156k miles...
Jalopnik writers and hating on Tesla
I would be all in on a CRV or Rav4 at this price point. More space inside, still hatchback-y, and you can get a loaded one.
First thing I saw, but I really do like the design.
