Not a car, but a plane... I was probably 8 or 9, acting as co-pilot with my grandfather. We were flying along when he turned to me and said “I’m tired, I think I’m going to take a nap. You take the controls for a while.”

You should be able to get those at invoice. When I ordered my WRX, I got the STI Short Throw Shifter, rubber floor/trunk mats, and tint all at invoice. Car itself was below invoice.

Many dealers will price match accessory prices you find online too.

I would also 100% recommend chainsaw chaps. I have the Husqvarna ones from Amazon. When half the reviews say “this product saved my life” you should probably buy them.

I’m a fan of the tail lights, but concerned about the fender mounted stuff. A lot of people change out fenders - this is just going to add cost and complexity to the replacements.

Thanks again for resuscitating Foxtrot! This is what it’s all about!

Can’t afford it - money already committed to iPhone X payment plan.

Also, realistically there are 253 MILLION cars and trucks that don’t have V2V out there right now. If V2V were required in every new car sold starting in a few years, you’d still have a solid 11+ year gap since the average age is 11.5 years of cars/trucks on the road. I wish there was a median figure, but couldn’t

A note on the Escape rust around the shock mounts - I had exactly that. Most of the 2002-2007 Ford Escapes have some type of manufacturing defect where the rear passenger side wheel well rusts out. It must have been a problem with surface prep for the rubberized coating they spray on. I mounted my amplifier behind

Sounds like the new one actually has removable end caps, so you don’t need to cut it off/try to glue or plastic weld it back on but shorter. Or go aftermarket if you only want the stubby look, not winch mounting points.

Very strongly do not recommend motion sensing kitchen faucets. Initially they seem cool, eventually you will remove the batteries and just wish you got something nicer looking.

“Don’t drive with your dog in your lap.

Even the 2006+ refresh looks like it could come out today. My first car was a 1999 9-5 and it was fantastic. My WRX reminds me of it on steroids. Same size, same weight, same color scheme, turbo 4, but 268hp instead of 170. And now I have a 6 speed vs the auto in my 9-5 that failed and made me part with it.

“Why the sales and marketing guy is working on practical product development makes a little less sense, but when your name’s on the building I guess you can pretty much do whatever.”

Not just COTD since they’ve been slacking lately, probably COTY.

All of the above is what’s holding me back!

My ‘16 WRX with the Turbo’d version of the same engine also feels noticeable when I’m starting from a stop w/ AC on. I genuinely have to hit the gas harder and hit higher RPMs before releasing the clutch or it is more likely to bog down/stall.

I have broad shoulders and am tall... I sat in one. It was like that Big Man in a Little Car skit. It was comical. I bought a WRX, and am slowly falling into the “Now if only it had more power” camp even though I know I’m not “maximizing it’s potential” right now. Sometimes you just want to be thrown back in your

100% this with the zipper lanes. The I-93 North to I-95 South interchange in MA is horrendous. Zipper turns into people constantly riding alongside the “stopped” exit lane, then cutting in at the end. I’ve seen multiple accidents, and the reason there is traffic is because of the idiots cutting in.

You should totally “sell” it back to them after the trip for what you paid + parts.
