Why is it wrong to want to be able to add more storage? I prefer to keep things stored locally and backup in the cloud, not have everything cloud-based so I need data to pull things back down.

I think mostly serious incident because it was an uncontained failure. Had chunks of the turbine struck the cabin / wing then it could have been a horrible tragedy.

I think it’s also for vibration / longevity - I read something about how with certain engines, especially performance ones, any vibration tends to wear out the exhaust mounting point in the bumper faster. I guess doing it like this allows the exhaust to have some space to vibrate without putting stress on the bumper.
