Oh, yeah. I'm totally cynical about this sort of thing. The world would be a much lovelier place if you were right about this.

Girl could sing.

"You're My Fantasy," "Lock the Door," "Whatever I Want," "Forever Love" - if a woman was writing this shit, she'd easily be called a delusional psycho.

I'm puking out of my eyeballs.

From what I understand, this is technically a crime scene. But aside from needing to exhume remains for identification and evidence, it's disrespectful to treat people who died tragically like they're disposable. It may not mean a whole lot to the actual dead bodies, but it means a lot to the people who loved them

It still takes empathy to implement it. Someone with truly no empathy wouldn't even think of apologizing, even if they were raised to do so. ;] I would imagine a small child screaming about how it's not fair because they didn't do anything wrong. :P However, yes, good manners are nice to have in the social world.

You know what? Even after the fuckups and the lies what amazes me is the fact that this fucking idiot couldn't even get it together enough to bury the dogs and hide the fucking evidence. How fucking stupid do you have to be?

why do people get so upset at the idea of moving bones that have been buried for a century or more

The dead might be dead, but we're still people. And even if we're not - even if we're monsters for treating them as decomposing meat - their mothers and children and spouses and brothers and friends are still people. It's not about the dead. It's about the world the dead leave behind.

So, I am not trying to be a dick here, but I'm really genuinely curious. . . . . are you like 14? Or no, I'm not sure I can grasp a 14 year old referring to people who most likely died from a horrible death as "decomposing meat." You're like 11, right? Or maybe you're a sociopath? NO! I get it. You're probably

I can believe that you were not trying to be a dick or a troll, but upon reading your comment, I see why many responded in the manner that they did. Most humans would agree that the dead deserve respect, maybe not more respect than the living, but at least a basic respect for their remains. Your comment ignited

My sister-in-law's older sister vanished after she attempted to cross the boarder, and her disappearance has had devastating effects on her entire family. They've spent the past decade wondering what happened to her and agonizing about the possibilities. Don't they deserve answers? She could easily be one of the

Cry moar.

If you can't handle it then don't bother to make comments that might be offensive. It's an internet thing.

Yep. You are.

Because human dignity + compassion for their families.

Because Joan Didion says so:

I don't see the need for a burial either, but I am interested in knowing how these people died and I am sure somewhere in Mexico someone is looking for them or waiting to hear news at least. Living people deserve closure and information about the fate of their friends and relatives.

It's true. You see that in a lot of professions, not just business. In Hollywood, heaven & earth was moved to keep the public from finding out about Mel Gibson's rage issues, misogyny and antisemitism, until he he got older and wasn't a sure fire leading man anymore and his follow-ups to the Jesus movie tanked.

You're not being cynical. You're being realistic.
