My sentiments exactly. The only real thing keeping me from completely writing off the film is that it's being written by Lawrence Kasdan, and he's really excited about it.

i was SO afraid that shot of him sleeping, he’d stop breathing, and THEN Jon pops up.
I would be so so so sad if Ghost died

I just do not liked the idea of Davos calling for a ressurrection... I think that it should got more naturally and dramatic... maybe Melissandre should have gone there by her own will, trying to test if her god was really on her side or not... And also I think that Bran should some how be present, like guiding Jon’s

I thought The Roose/Ramsay was going to play the opposite way. Damn.

THIS. As great as it is to have him back, rising out of the pyre was the way it should have happened.

I’m really interested in what Melisandre’s reaction to her belated success, after her crisis of faith the last few episodes.

You’ve clearly never had a dog! Did you see Ghost perk up? DOGS KNOW.

(but fair point)

Loved it, although, I wish my more dramatic version of Melisandre failing (but igniting the pilot light) and THEN as they burn him on a pyre he wakes up and walks out of the flame was used. It would have eliminated wight doubts and secure his Targaryan bloodline.

The look of sheer terror on Jon’s face!

I actually really like the Dornish plotline, other than Quentyn. I liked the fact that, in the books, Doran Martel was a patient, scheming leader with a plan to get his ultimate revenge on those that killed his family.

The big problem with the Dorne plotline in the books transferring to the show is that the characters just don’t exist in the show. No other Martell kids to marry off. No Aegon etc.,

I like where it’s going though. Arianne is probably going to marry fAegon, and he’ll take King’s Landing with the help of the Dornish forces before Daenerys shows up and roasts him.

I completely disagree. For me, Dorne in the books is extremely well thought out, with a lot of politicking and deeply-laid plans. Whether or not it will amount to anything is still up for debate, but “tacked on” is the last thing it feels.

Except not really? The Dornish plot in the books is actually interesting and is leading into events happening in the next book.

Yep I think you’re right.. I first thought the last thing you mentioned too, but she must have glanced at it merely out of habit and decided not to take the insta-youth this time because she was feeling so disheartened. No need to keep up appearances when nothing matters anymore after losing your purpose...

She’s soaking in a plothole.

Interesting. If she has the power to look like someone else, or make someone else look like someone else; maybe that’s how Jon Snow comes back.

She was alone, tired and depressed. Maybe she just didn’t have enough energy to keep up the illusion.

A little piece of me wants Sansa to rule it all.

Man i used to love to know where this show was going
But i totally lost my marbles on this 1st episode.
