I think the reason the show has cut so many prophecies short is so that when they do actually portray them, non-book readers will be shocked. If we readers weren't so obsessed, we would be shocked as well in the books and the show when these huge events unfold.

As excited as I am about Jon’s imminent return, it was anti-climactic. I’m disappointed that it wasn’t a grand display, but more disappointed that it wasn’t the “kiss of life” like Thoros and Beric. She should have at least kissed Jon to seal the spell.

That was my hope for it!

What if Kylo kidnapped her and deposited her on Jakku, not out of jealousy but out of a misguided want to protect her? I agree that it most certainly was Ren who placed her on Jakku, but I think when he saved her from the other Knights of Ren it was more to do with some feeling of connection (be that due to relation,

One reason could be to increase his pain, which leads to anger he can wield, increasing his powers.

His saber is a perfect example of his unfocused power. It it split to make a cross guard, it sizzles and spits like unfocused energy. It is emblematic of Kylo Ren himself.

It’s apparent (as others have mentioned) that Kylo was holding back in his fight against Rey. He also offered to be her teacher, he didn’t want to crush her, even thought he had the power to.

I noticed the parallel (pun intended) almost immediately. My guess is not so much that Kylo and Rey are related as that it hints toward her going Dark. It is very intentional obviously, so it is a blatant clue, even if we all can’t determine as to what yet. I keep thinking (because they are casting new female leads in

Don’t count out Shaggy Dog and Rickon!

You must be right, others than Jon and Sam (who will be studying for his maestership in Old Town) the wall is a very boring place.

Best comparison ever!

Lyana Stark you mean? No, she never even liked Robert Baratheon. Also, dark hair is a dominant gene and when described in the first book, Arya is says to looks much like Lyanna, within raven dark hair of the Starks, and Jon was said to look most like his “half-sibling” Arya... Thus in reality u much like his mother

Classic monologuing.

I think you forgot monologuing.

What if Syrio is Jaqen?

Word of mouth does nothing for me. I don't trust that others' idea of a good book/story/series will mesh with my own. I admit I'm more adventurous in trying new tv series and movies simply because I have to exude less time and effort to discover if I'll be hooked.

I agree, I think the show wRchers must be over Sansa. She hasn't got many fans from the tv series from what I can tell. Although I loved her plot once she was out of Kingslanding. I am really hoping the show does a spectacular job with her story now, I've been excited to see it play out on screen since I read the plot

don't you love it?

It seemed an innocent, inocuous promise from Ned to Lyanna at the time I read it. It took reading more of the books and backstory for the R+L=J to become "obvious" at all. Yes, now 20+ years later it seems blatant, but at the time it was completely a hidden gem!
