The first book is really quite brilliant. Most of it plays as kind of a Die Hard sort of narrative, with Artemis as Hans Gruber, and it works really well.

That’s a part of the larger “bury your gays” trope. I can’t really explain it, but it seems to me that gay romances are much more normalized with men than with women; especially as female-female romances are often used just to reel in horny men.
This is 1968 all over again.
It kind of makes me wonder how offense based entirely around running with QBs would work in tournament. There’s a guy who I haven’t played Madden with in years simply because running as a mobile QB is insanely overpowered in a casual setting.
Man buns and sour beers. You’re the king of randomly jumping to conclusions, I see.
Victoria II is an absolutely incredible game, but it takes ~20 hours to learn at a base level whereas it takes ~2 for CK2 and ~5 for HOI4 (although with HOI4, I know people who have 800+ hours who still manage to learn new things.
The Potemkin villages part is true, but Peter was A) absolutely obsessed with Prussia, and Catherine B) was indeed influenced by the Enlightenment, although it didn’t translate as much to her reforming institutions to democratize them as it did to help guide her with new ideas in the military and diplomacy. It’s weird…
Shhh! That’s not clickbait!
I’m the invisible man!
Sublime is (was?) ten times as good as 311.
On one hand, yay. On the other, I’m not sure it’s necessary.
If you think that he’s only ruthless here, Brosnan and Dalton were both ICE cold at points. Dalton’s partner gets literally cut in half and his reaction is “that’s just and occupational hazard,” and Brosnan makes some really cold blooded kills.
To be fair, Vince Carter has been irrelevant save for his former status for years now, so it’s not a completely fair comparison to make.
If I thought I had the technological skill to make that sort of robot of Marilyn Monroe, I’d get to work on it this instant, because it would make me stupid amount of money.
Any minimum sentence, period, is absolute bunk. What’s even worse is when there’s a plea deal made and then the judge goes above and beyond and gives more time.
What country with a coalition system have you lived in?
I’m looking forward to this, but I hope that it doesn’t go overboard on its use of blood and gore. What made the original work was that it had tact and didn’t need to show Candyman himself unless it was necessary.
Okay, Mr. Magic Man. I also did not hear you say, “Big McThankies from McSpankies” to the customer.
Simpletons unite! I’m going to be real here: Jojo was my favorite movie of last year. Sorry. I feel that all of the put-downs its been getting from film critics have been about how it’s not woke enough.
I’m not a fan of Moby Dick, and I do agree that the Scarlet Letter is an absolute drag, but Heart of Darkness? That’s in my top 20 for classic books.
