"Shunned from society"?! Like a scarlet letter thing? Or maybe the leper colony in Molokai?

"Total scumbag who doesn't deserve work"?! Like, any, ever!?

After the doggie started

"NOT ON MY WATCH, SON!"
— the Internet, 2015

This. The lie only "benefitted" him in the sense that it gave him a colorful backstory for why he moved to LA. It's probably based in fact, but yeah, he had too many Pina Coladas one night and said something stupid.

No "success for the rest of his LIFE"?! Really? Over one lie? It's not like he lied about stashing cyanide in the preschool kool-aid, or perpetrated Watergate or something. He just got ahead of himself when he was a young idiot and failed to sack up and correct it properly.

Might as well have raped a murderer, what he did was so much worse.

But he only eats people made out of feces.

Well, right on. Does this lie make you want to stop watching his show?

lol, exactly.

This. I mean, look, I have zero love for this guy (I never heard of him before today), and the lie he told is a pretty fucking lame one.

Answer: Hell to the no.

Lol, exactly. For today's kids, "Jungle Book" = hyperealistic animal terror.

A monkey in a kangol?

Oh, christ. Can't anybody tell a lie any more, or say something stupid, without having their entire career tanked? I can't imagine who would think this guy is funny, but if they do, wouldn't you guess they're also the sort of person who wouldn't give a shit about this lie?

You don't expect logic from your science fiction movies?

Why are they "professional scumbags" if they cut down cocaine's purity? Do you think you should be doing pure cocaine??!?

That's true. The problem, though, is that Disney is a promotion monster, and at the parks, on their network and elsewhere, they'll be pushing these films to kids, and thus kids will want to see them.

That's a good point. Pixar has taken over from Disney in delivering to the little ones.

My 5-yo is a very mature girl, and could probably sit through it, but why do I want to do that to her? Mom's choice to take her to see Maleficient yielded little but bad vibes and tough questions.
