So, to sum up, if I can: most everyone agrees this is not funny, and the two people who disagree are certain that everyone else is a sexist homophobe. Got it.

Sure you're a white man, Carmen.
It's her. Look at this page: she's up and down it trying to (a) defend the comedy as funny, and (b) cry sexism or homophobia at anyone who disagrees. Truly an epic losing battle.
Spacecowboy00, you win the Internet for today, spanking this poor fool so furiously. lol, good work!
Carmen, this is what, your FIFTIETH post defending this unfunny post? Look: I appreciate that criticism is hard, but all the accusations of sexism and homophobia in the world isn't going to improve this post one bit. Maybe spend more time drafting it up front and you can save yourself all this work on the back end.
Ham Rove, I have a very strong suspicion that you're Carmen Esposito.
Who here is "angry"? Simply pointing out that this article is lame, not funny or interesting, as you say, and thus beneath the AV Club standards isn't being angry. It's simply being critical of a lame post.
As I said, "Right, I understand that's why she's going for," but again, it's not funny, and it's not trenchant. You and Ham Rove seemed to have enjoyed it, and I'm happy for you, but for me and seemingly most other folks, this comedy "bit" doesn't have much humor or bite.
Congratulations!
I'm not pissed off at all, I just don't get it and think it's dumb.
I don't know, I've probably seen a half-dozen mic penis gags that blow this article out of the water. Use it as a penis, a vag, shit, use it as a hypothetical taint, but at least be funny about it.
"Whether or not it's considered funny is completely beside the point."
That's something I'd be interested to read. But that's not what she's doing here—she's doing a bit here, and it falls terribly flat. Sounds like you agree. You don't think she's being funny, "she's just trying to make a point," right?
Right, I understand that's why she's going for, but that ploy to be effective, it has to make sense in both directions. Again, saying someone will "use a mic as a vag" isn't funny, because it's difficult to even understand what that would mean. How would one use a mic as a vag?
What's the point? That she's not a funny comedian?
Dear AV Club: I enjoyed Cookie Monster's comment about this article far more than the article itself. Please reverse for next week.
Is this supposed to be funny? I think I understand what she's trying to do, but it's really flat, and just kind of dumb. "Wear a hoodie on your penis" deserved to be bolded? Why? The comic before me "used the mic as a vag"? What does that even mean, they used it as a vag? Is she trying to play off the fact that…
If by turkey baster you mean my penis, then sure.
Toy Story of Terror is the bomb, we watch it all the time.
Slow it down. They have a new little girl, so they can start the whole process over again. So long as the toys hold out and they keep being handed down to new little kids, these movies could go on forever, until eventually the toys are owned by the future robots from AI.
