How can something done so well fail so miserably? It was ahead of its time, I guess.

The first picture looks tastier. :P
Unfortunately, in a world where people log in to the Bungie forums to whine about the accuracy of the Battle Rifle in Halo 3, I doubt that accurately inaccurate weaponry from over a century ago would entice people to buy a game. Nobody wants to spend half their time reloading, and the other half having their bullets…
I want a good movie, or at least a shot at one. James Cameron does not make good films, he makes ones that make money. Which is fine, if Blizzard just wants money. But James Cameron is, otherwise, a horrible director.
As a non-pokefan...I don't see the difference. At least, no difference that can't be put down to "One cartoon was out when I was a kid, and I am now significantly older, and this different cartoon looks newer".
@Craigaleg: I still don't know how there can be hundreds of flags in a city, and I only come across a handful of them over the course of the game. How does that work?
James Cameron is about as good at PR as Jayne Cobb...and they both have that as their job description now.
My horse jumped off a cliff right after I found out a drunken Irishman lied about where I could find a minigun.
@Tuba1060: Actually, I got my hands on a demo at Comic-Con this last year, and hand-to-hand combat doesn't play into it very much. You start out with a meter giving you the target's general direction, and then a photo of them. There's citizens that look eerily similar walking around. As you get closer, the blue circle…
Boy, Rockstar sure does have a way of pissing off voice actors, although to be fair, the last one was being a whiny idiot.
@presto117: Out of curiosity, where was it being screened? I suck at finding stuff at Comic-Con, even though Jhonen Vasquez mentioned a screening on his twitter...
The first Civ board game was most certainly not simple or basic.
@jetRink: Yes, but there's not that many people I've found that think it's truly a great book. I myself got bored of it, and found the symbolism to be a bit much. The first half drags on, and the build-up ends rather anticlimactically. The importance of the book is, frankly, lost on me. But then, I may be a terrible…
@Foxhack: Even without Multiplayer, 16 hours of gameplay is quite a bit. If you're into perfection/replays, there's achievements, plus some missions that have multiple choices. That, and you can select what technology you get in what order, which means that one strategy might be off-limits on a second run.
It bothers me that the Sims series has just stagnated at this point. Sure, the end of Sims 1 was kind of...wacky. And the Sims 2 was missing some features that would pretty nice. Ultimately, Sims 2 was a major upgrade, though. Sims 3 just dumbs the gameplay down, uses the same UI, looks about the same…
@invincible-snake: I don't care, really. I just think he's spent enough time working on Metal Gear, and there's plenty of it out there. A break from the series would do him good.
*ahem*
I thought last year was the 40th ComicCon?
I disagree with the first line. Apple has never made a great music player. iPods were crap. iTunes is bloated. They have a large fan base, but not true quality.
I was a little unconcerned. Then I read she did work for One Piece and that she took pregnancy leave a couple years ago, and realized she was the voice of Chopper.
