One of the pitfalls of having such an estensive cannon, they like to do small world things when introducing new Doctors or companions yet add big world changing spectacle as they go on.

I wouldn’t be opposed to them skipping the TARDIS entirely this season if possible, it’s what I liked about the early Pertwee stories and it builds the anticipation up for when it shows up.

I liked it, they never made much of a thing about the change and the new tone really sets it apart from the previous new Who. The new theme is very throwback and we got to finally see a sonic screwdriver being made so some good fan wank stuff.
