Between the work done by Deadspin and other outlets on Penn State and by Yahoo Sports on stories like the Miami scandal, I'm left wondering what the hell purpose ESPN even serves anymore besides preventing the Weather Channel and Fox Sports from bumping into each other on my DVR listing.

"You see, I was a bit of a hybrid player myself."

The fact that he's held onto his job so far has to make him one of the nation's five most powerful gingers, no?

Notre Dame video towers > Tebow

"Sometimes my ass doesn't photograph well."

Speaking of Fox graphics, what the hell happened to Cleatus? I know Drew mentioned the stupid shield he now brandishes to prevent being tainted by corporate logos, but that's all I see of him anymore. Does he not dance for our pleasure anymore?

I just hope this trade doesn't affect Palmer's endorsement deals.

While there may be a political aspect to this, I think part of it is a mixture of racism and class envy. Don't think for a second that a vocal group of fans doesn't secretly wish for these rich, uppity black players to get what's coming.

I moved to Koss to replace my dead Sennheiser PX 100s (nice work, Sennheiser, on jacking up the price on them and driving away customers). They get a bit uncomfortable after extended wearing, but the sound is great for the price.

Meanwhile, Pirates fans keep praying that this is the year Robert Nutting finally responds to that Nigerian prince.

@StuckBetweenStations: The new Cage the Elephant is really good. Alternative rock, but a lot more fun.
