I'm surprised Fallon wins the 18-49 demo. Do Hulu #s count? I know I never watch Colbert because he's not on Hulu (except for YouTube clips from time to time). I don't watch Fallon because he sucks.

Now this is an important issue. Her fingers are too long.

I'm with you on that one. I agree that he seems like a giant douche from what I've read about him and I will agree most people who do that kind of stuff are serial offenders so it probably wasn't a one time thing.

I find it disturbing that you assume people who are "innocent until proven guilty" advocates are right wingers. I'm a liberal who hates Trump with the power of a billion suns and I'm very much on the "innocent until proven guilty" train (for all people; regardless of gender, race or social status) - this is a core

I like her quite a bit - I don't have any problem with her not clapping. But I also don't have a problem with him winning (as I really liked the movie - my favorite of the year and his performance was a big part of that)

that'd mean half as many awards. don't think they're gonna go for that. plus then we'd have this yearly thing of "it's been two years in a row that a man has won, isn't it time for a woman to win?" ah… yeah.

That seems very overly harsh to me even if he did everything they said he did. I guess that makes me something of a douchebag apologist I don't know. I just think we should err on the side of forgiveness and moving forward. Definitely not on the side of mob justice.

fair enough; I'm curious about what you think should be done though. Do you think he shouldn't be given any acting roles or that he just shouldn't be eligible for awards because of his private life? I don't really understand what the end game is to something like this.

ha. fair enough. but my question is: what justice does the mob want to inflict on him beyond what the legal system has already done?

Sure hope you're not talking about me. I hate MRA dirtbags. But I also hate mob "justice." Life is more complicated than most make it out to be. Mostly grey; 50 shades even. not black & white.

I saw 4 of the 5 movies nominated for best actor (all but Hacksaw Ridge) and I really thought Casey Affleck's performance was head & shoulders above the rest. I just don't think that a guy's sleazy personal life should negate what he does in his work. Mob justice isn't justice at all. He settled out of court six years

OK. didn't say it was the *only* ugly side of human nature. but if he settled didn't he do what he was supposed to do legally? at what point has he paid for his crimes? should he never work again? we have a legal system for a reason (because mobs are crazy vindictive)

strongly agreed with that sentiment. the witch hunt thing creeps me out something fierce especially when it comes on like this; this group think deal. it's an ugly side of human nature.

nah, it was a really good movie and his performance was excellent.

OK. This shit needs to get the fuck off my lawn.

and from what I was hearing on NPR McMaster actually sounds like about the sanest person Trump has picked yet? and a huge improvement over that loon Flynn. that's good news right? anything that doesn't seem to be heading directly to apocalypse is good news at this point.

actors need to shut their mouths; but crazy windbag game show hosts should be elected President.

I'll reiterate what I said below and leave this place before I waste anymore time:
