I remember my mother taking me and my siblings to see this. I also remember my then 5 year old sister getting freaked out during the opening number and my then 3 year old brother deciding not to watch the movie and instead wander up and down the aisle mooing like a cow. He was going through a cow phase at the time.

Nope. Dolly works a solid 9 to 5.

Saving Christmas and the world from Covid? What a way to make a living...

Another fantastic episode in what’s shaping up to be a REALLY solid season. How many shows can claim to have a quality 11th season?

Also, I really miss these reviews and the commentariat that comes with it...

$20 says that there’s a moment in the film where both Chris’ bond over the fact that the women in their lives have/had cancer...

Blade II is a legitimately fun movie. Maybe not a good movie, but definitely fun. And I can forgive the CGI in the fight sequences, the cartoonishness of it helps sell the unreality of the world to me (plus, Matrix Reloaded came out a year later with three times the budget, and the CGI elements in those fight

I re-watched Blade II last night (and Pacific Rim a few months back), his direction and composition of shots in that is pretty pedestrian too. How do you shoot multiple martial arts sequences with prime Wesley Snipes, Donnie Yen, et al, and make it all look like a routine Buffy fight scene?

Seconded.

Came here PRECISELY to sing the praises of Herr’s Jalapeno Poppers. A single bag won’t last longer than two snack attacks, and only then because I really fight myself to have SOME self control...

Re; acknowledgement of Ron, I didn’t pick up on the connection when I watched it, but I did find Malorys wedding ring distractingly prominent in the airplane scene...

Another fantastic RR!

And it’s almost refreshing to not hear someone involved with Super Mario Bros. talk trash about it.

RISE. AND. FAAAAAAALLLL

STAN. DING. TAAAAAAALLLL

Hyperspace doesn’t have the same immediate replay value and fun factor for me as Colors, and having those two albums come out so close together doesn’t help Hyper, but i think it’s going to have a really, years long slow burn like Modern Guilt had for me.

Seems a little odd for this site to advertise this book and make zero mention of Rabins new Weird Al book...
