As a mom i identified with the mother as soon as i saw the video. I know that calm. I was pulled over by a police officer who did not want to let me go. He kept coming back to my car asking more questions. I did not have nor was i on any drugs or alcohol. License, reg, insurance in check. I even had a gold card from

To me, her “calmness” was very similar to the way a horse trainer speaks to a spooked and dangerous animal. She couldn’t risk setting Officer Triggerhappy off on herself or her daughter.

Also, the broken taillight reason was BS. Police scanner recordings revealed that the officer pulled them over because they might be suspects in a robbery because he saw a “wide nose.” They were straight up racially profiled (sadly unsurprising).

It doesn’t matter what she would have done. If she had been hysterical they would have said she was putting on a show for the cameras.

When you’ve got a preconceived notion of how something is supposed to play out, suddenly everything looks ‘fishy’.

I’ve seen some people on my FB news feed (those that I affectionately refer to as “the asshole contingent” of my family, mostly) questioning how calm she remained throughout the video, and how matter-of-fact her narration was. The upshot seemed to be that there was something fishy about it.

I've officially checked out of watching videos of police lynchings.

Democracy Now has a heartwarming story about how this judge sentenced a domestic abuser who almost killed his wife in the incident to a weekend in jail, AFTER ENSURING IT WOULDN’T INTERFERE WITH HIS MONDAY WORK SCHEDULE. http://m.democracynow.org/web_exclusives…

Persky made a controversial evidentiary ruling which allowed the jury to view seven photographs of the alleged victim “partying about a year or so after the alleged gang rape. In the photos, she is scantily clad, wearing a garter belt and what appear to be fishnet stockings.”

Though the De Anza case didn’t go “viral,” it speaks, perhaps, to the contradictions of a judge who campaigned as tough on sexual predators and a vocal advocate of victims.

I’m 95% certain Daniel is gay. Evan just seems to have weird mannerisms, but you never know.

I generally give this show a TON of leeway, including with the increasingly ridiculous Chad stuff. But I find it deplorable that they had Roethlisberger on this ep. Regardless of whether or not the allegations against him are true, don't have him on your show, ABC.

It stopped being entertaining to me. Chad doesn’t seem like he’s putting on for the show. He seems like the real deal - as in a very dangerous and sociopathic man - who is likely going to commit a grievous act of violence (and probably against a partner) in the future. Remember Megan Wants a Millionaire? (If no, one

Alex Hanley, a neighbor, told Global News that several people in the building heard screams but that they couldn’t tell whether it was a person or a television program.

Totally aside from custody, many men get violent because the mother’s time and attention is taken up with the baby, and they resent the loss of time and attention for themselves. I actually think that’s more common than custody-related abuse.

“It’s very rare that someone is involved in a homicide case with someone they just had a baby with. It’s very early to make a conclusion as to what the cause, intent, motive and facts were to this unfortunate tragedy.”

This guy’s lawyer says: “It’s very rare that someone is involved in a homicide case with someone they just had a baby with.”

Says his divorce attorney Ronald Richards, “Him being violent is so uncharacteristic of the person I’ve known for many years.”The classic line of all friends, acquaintances and family of abusive people. FFS will someone just accept that you don’t know what is going on behind closed doors and that someone you may like

2. Then wasn’t there the police report that said there were no signs of abuse that evening

Also, were they 20+ feet away from her? If so, couldn’t she move 20 feet away from him during the same time frame?

I love that the reaction to hearing her scream “Stop hitting me” was “Oh that bitch is orchestrating a setup”
