Well, there’s objective superiority and subjective superiority. If you’d like to get into a debate about the merits of quantitative (objective) and qualitative (subjective) reasoning and vice versa, that’s fine. But calling something trash is fundamentally a subjective comment. Trash is something that’s genuinely

The 135 HP turd in 79 wasn’t due to a poor design. It was due to low compression ratios and other restrictions needed to meet tightening emissions and fuel standards. You could take that same 79 block in 79 and make big power on it with the right pistons, cam, etc...

Rotaries don’t suck, but they are bastards of engines that won’t hesitate to punish you for lack of attention or stupidity. But if you know what you are doing, a rotary will reward you handsomely. I think they aren’t commonplace more because they demand a level of attention to detail and discipline to maintenance

Not everybody wants to be boring like you. Get back to me when that can hit over 9k RPM with perfect balance and sound like free spinning sex.

It’s a fair bit subjective, but cars, street cars in particular, are more subjective than people think. In short, I simply like the rotary engine, and I don’t like the LS V8. I don’t like how the LS runs, I think it sounds like ass, and yes I think it’s boring. Conversely, I love how the rotary runs, how it will sing

If the best street v8 you had was a chevy 305, you’d call v8s trash too. Give the wankel a chance to get properly updated.

I never understood the logic behind LS swaps. It’s like trading in a Miata for a V6 Camry because the Camry is technically faster on paper and much more practical. If you’re driving an RX, you’ve already thrown all practicality to the wind. Just embrace the wonderful, nonsensical insanity of the Wankel.

LS engines are more overrated than doritos.

Nope. I’m just saying that your attitude is typical of most people who take a sweeping attitude towards stanced cars. Your noisy polluting car is fine, but the cops should crack down on his low car with funny wheels.

Don’t tell a S2000 owner that HP/L is a meaningless figure... that’s all they have in this world. Well, that and the 9k redline. Aside from that, they’re desparate, pathetic people.

I’m not personally a fan of stancing, but why would you want cops being more overbearing on cars then they already are?

k?

Let’s try to keep the conversation on topic; an American is dead because he valiantly tried to save the lives of allies in a war against terrorism. Stop trying to make this a political issue or one about the fact that you don't like the guy who won a democratic election. FFS STFU already.

I call it “old man tan” the traditional color of left lane bandits throughout the country.

And would be kind of a chicken spit thing to do. Russia is not the enemy here folks.
