I’m normally all about unions, but the police and fire dept unions both need to be busted. This has gone beyond collective bargaining power.

It’s interesting that in a country which hates workers’ unions so much, police unions are so untouchable.
“He bravely.... goes AROUND Mount Everest!”
This is what happens when someone has no fear of accountability of any kind.
FilmCriticHulk had a wonderful essay where he diagnosed the biggest problem with Hollywood screenplays today, as the fact that they assume empathy on the part of the audience. The assumption is that the screenwriters don’t need to give the audience a reason to care about the protagonist, because hey, if they didn’t…
I consider this the perfect example of *not* “fridging” a character. Carl’s connection to his late wife and their thwarted dreams is necessary background for the plot of the movie - a lesser film would have *told* us about it, but Pixar instead opted to *show* the hell out of it and communicate a lifetime’s worth of…
Pixar has made plenty of good movies since Up, but I still think Up is their magnum opus that they've yet to surpass.

One takeaway I’m getting from all this is mayors have no authority over their city’s police force...
I’m starting to think the main reason the cops all wear gas masks is so that nobody can identify them when they decide to switch to gestapo mode.
Hmm, forgot about that but that’ss really the EU Accord.
Former last gen TSX owner.
I’m with you. Though I’d say the last great Acura was the first gen TSX, which got neutered shortly after the TL. Still, ‘06 - ‘08 Acura mid-size sedans were pretty damn good.
First thing that jumped out at me too. Their dual LCD interior setup was terrible, and kept me away from Acura (after having a 1st Gen TSX).
I can’t help but think there must be cheaper ways to court the douchebag market.
The thing is, the guys demanding the Snyder cut LOVE MoS and BvS as if they were mana from heaven. I have seen too many people to count that follow Snyder say without a hint of sarcasm that his version of Superman in MoS is exactly the version they’ve wanted their entire lives. That he understood the character better…
Talk about BMX. How about this little gem BMX Bandits, starring fresh faced and very curly haired ginger namely Nicole Kidman?
That would make a heck of a lot more sense to me.
I wish Zach Snyder would stop directing movies and work towards his true calling, painting wizards on the side of vans.
They did a good job in many ways here, but the fact that he was supposed to be a Raylan-leaning version of Olyphant, and it came across perfectly is admirable. Hard to strike that balance.
