I can’t say I was expecting this, but good on Ravelry! Seriously, though, who goes on crafting forums to talk about politics?

Also, the entire premise of the justice system is judging people on their worst moments. You don’t get dragged in front of a jury for all those times you rescued kittens or helped old ladies across the street.

Oh man, I hadn’t even thought about that! I hope it gives them a heart attack.

I know only two things about tennis: that having no points is referred to as “love,” and that Arthur Ashe played and excelled at the game. I know these facts only because “love” and “Ashe” are the answer to 90% of tennis-related crossword hints.

I just assumed they wouldn’t charge them, just like they don’t charge cops who gun down unarmed black people.

I was once given the advice “you can eat anything you want, as long as you cook it from scratch,” and while I don’t always follow it, it has proven to be pretty good advice (the number of times I have bothered to slice up and fry potatoes for chips is zero, for instance). While brownies or cake aren’t good for you,

I love oatmeal cups! They are so easy to make, and when you add berries to them they feel like a dessert even though they are pretty healthy. I recently tried the overnight oats thing (way late on that bandwagon) and was suprised at how good they were. I really thought the texture would be weird, but they tasted fine,

If you go the overnight oats route then they stay pretty good and non-cement like. I usually use either almond, coconut, or regular milk for mine and they turn out just fine. I was worried that the texture was going to be off-putting, but I actually really enjoy them.

Sugar and corn syrup, for sure. It’s amazing how much stuff that crap gets added to (including a can of beans[?!?!] I was looking at in the store the other day...) and it is just terrible for you. I had a similar experience when I got sent on rotation to Eastern Europe- we had to walk anywhere from half a mile (where

I think it’s too early for that. Biden has 100% percent name recognition, and while that is a good thing for his campaign, it also means he doesn’t have much room to go up and a LOT of room to go down. Name recognition counts for a lot this early, but it doesn’t always predict where things will end up. We are already

beginning of the Democrat candidates defining themselves with their far-left policy message

While Biden continues to lead in the state, with 22% of likely voters according to the poll, that number is down by 4% from an April Quinnipiac University poll. Equally noteworthy, Warren not only has overtaken Sanders for second place in California polling,

“We have a lovely date lined up for you. Her name is Squeaky Fromme.”

That’s fair. I’m all for debates in the general, when I think most people actually start paying attention. But primary voters tend, by definition, to be the most hard-core voters, and the ones who are already likely paying attention. Maybe this year is different, and there are a ton of people who both want to vote in

I mean, I’m not a huge fan of debates generally. I think they rely too much on sound bites and “gotcha!”s rather than substance. I’d much rather see someone with a depth of knowledge on a given topic (like whoever the Poor People’s Campaign will pick to ask the questions) really drill down on a particular topic with

Thankfully, Sanders, Warren, Joe Biden, and plenty of other candidates have said they plan to attend the Poor People’s Forum, where they will take questions from activists and the head of the Poor People’s Campaign, a group that wants to tackle poverty, inequality, and system racism.

Also the town doesn’t currently have an abortion provider and none planning on moving there, so this measure is useless in like 5 different ways.

Seriously, this meeting would have me believe the demographics of the town are solidly above the age where carrying a pregnancy to term or not is no longer a pressing issue...

It irritates me because compression shorts are one of the few things I can’t just buy the male version of (well, not without having a whole lot of room to spare in the front...) so I spend forever trying to get women’s shorts that actually compress my fat thighs so I can run without wanting to kill myself.
