Don’t feel stupid. It was $100. I married a jerk who has cost me tens of thousands of dollars. That’s something to feel stupid over.

The way Derek lashes out is way bad. Heather just shuts down.
Everything really is relative.
They sit on my shelves, where I see them every day when I get out of the shower and when I clean my face at night, making me regret the money lost. Then one day I get in a mood and throw them away and quickly forget them.
Right there with you, sister. Being the cool, funny coworker is a job!
Heather and Derek. Ugh. Derek is going to end up an MRA MGTOW. Heather should start working first class and looking to be a trophy wife.
I seldom wear makeup, but SNS has encouraged me to wear a bit. As I’ve aged, my eyebrows have started fading and I felt my face was just becoming a monotoned blob.
When I was a kid (so very long ago), there were usually cheap Saturday matinees for kids, so I saw a lot of movies that way. As an adult, I used to take advantage of the $1 and $2 theaters, but most of those have closed or converted to full price in my area.
I’m about halfway through Obelisk Gate by NK Jemisin. It’s SF/F, but the protagonists is a WoC. It’s the second in a trilogy; the first was The Fifth Season.
The Princess Bride won’t be magical, but I never really found it magical. It’s intelligent and funny and weird. It holds up well.
Enhance. Enhance. Enhance.
The only Indiana Jones movie I really enjoyed was the first, Raiders of the Lost Ark. The cinematography is stunning; so many scenes are stuck in my head because of their beauty.
If you don’t have a humidifier, I would suggest one. Mucinex thins out the mucus. You should be able to use Mucinex in addition to the ‘quils. Vicks Vaporub on your chest was a big thing when I was a kid. If you get a steam vaporizer, they usually have a cup where you can put liquid vicks or similar.
Thank you.
I took the test for Jeopardy several times, then had to go to an in person interview and test. If felt I did fine, but I obviously wasn’t what they were looking for.
Are you sure it’s just a cold? If you’re running a fever and/or coughing up colored mucus, it could be bronchitis.
Thank you. I can’t wait. One more week, and then I should be mostly up to speed.
Thank you. My chemo’s not too bad. Just pills.
Thank you. SNS and maintaining the Beauty Thread are therapy for me.
Thank you. It’s not as bad as cancer chemo, just swallowing half a dozen pills then the side effects. I can remember my MIL, though, appearing in court for a client’s trial, while still having to wear a turban from hair loss from chemo and radiation. I’ve got nothing on that.
