I attended an SBC back in the 60s and 70s. Back then, they considered abortion and birth control to be private matters between husbands, wives, and doctors. They also did not have issues with women working outside the home. Spanking was accepted, but considered a last resort.

Swapping racism for sexism is not progress.

I have to disagree. No ERA. No access to BC and abortion. No draft.

Circles usually mean vitamin issues. Take a general. maybe add C and B12.

So, they’re all totes against racism, but sexism is alive and well in the SBC. They’ve completely fallen into the complementarianism philosophy.

FYI, white girl here with an odd question.

Obligatory:

I hate the way my hair changed.

Kardashian Sims Edition.

The problem I’m having is that the sweating is kind of lifting the makeup off my face and creating almost a grease paint effect. Even though it’s powdered mineral foundation I brush on lightly, followed by a dusting of powder to finish, it looks like I’ve coated my face with shiny clown makeup.

I love fish, but, yeah, whoever heats up fish at the office earns all the enmity.

Apparently, they’re on an alien planet, and the aliens gave them an engineered disease to kill them, but it only killed the women, and now the men are telepathic and everybody can hear everyone else’s thoughts, then the teenage guy finds a teenage girl alive, and she’s not telepathic. And then they adventure and fight

I did something I swore I wouldn’t do on io9: called something I hadn’t read dreck and complained about it. I try to avoid that attitude because everybody has their different likes and dislikes, and I’m sick of people (guys, mostly, of course) swooping in to post how much they hated something that everybody else in

I haven’t spoken to my parents in, oh, 13, 14 years, I estimate. Worth it.

You had that wonderful time at King’s Island, and then this. I’m sorry. I truly don’t know how you do it.

I’d recommend something with a mineral base. No talc. Corn starch is also good at controlling shine.

There are no men in kilts where I live. I think all men should wear kilts. I love a pair of shapely calves.

ID is the background noise when I’m doing other stuff.

That should be in the BRAG THREAD!

Gong to generalize here, but men don’t seem to handle change as well as women. You had a nice relationship at the beginning, then you became financially semi-dependent on him, which probably stressed him out, though he stepped up and did the right thing.
