I didn’t mean the quality or creativity. Maybe opposite. Those 70's shows had a low-budget, lo-fi, campy quality that made you think: 1) What combo of narcotics led to this? and 2) How did they sneak this on-air without a network objection?!?

Home Deport: typo or casual immigrant-bashing?

Not a comics guy so I definitely had no clue about Dr. Strange before Venture Bros. Orpheus’ voice always reminded me of Sir Simon Milligan from Kids in the Hall.

This isn’t a straw man, you snide twatnugget. All these casting changes started happening right after George Floyd’s death because representation was suddenly a pressing issue? In animation? Good as the intentions may be, the gestures are pretty empty.

I’m glad Swift dropped the “The.” Fair is fair. But calling her logo “eerily similar” is a huge stretch. In fact, it’s so ugly and unimaginative that calling it a rip-off is an insult to the fashion line.

Yes! Thank you. I’ve been ranting about that since they came out. (Not the Post-It note part. That whimsical bit is all yours.) Brave is a great animated movie but only a Pixar B-lister. 

By that point, Disney and Pixar animators (and animation) were pretty much indistinguishable.

I thought Spacey was pretty good in A Bug’s Life. My favorite line read is that sneering speech about the missing food: “Do I look stupid, to you? … If it was up there, would I be coming down here — to your level — looking for it?!?” I love how it drips with contempt.
