I saw one or two of those Toyota Cavaliers in Japan in the 2000s. It was pretty weird.

I think it’s mitigated a bit (and as I said they never really bothered me in the first place) by the fact that the fake vents were actually designed to be made functional if the owner wants. And it wasn’t just like “uh sure you can totally put a hole there, I guess” but Toyota was developing the racing version of the…
Shadows of the Damned kinda does look like the exception, doesn’t it. I wonder why it turned out so much better to play. I guess Shinji Mikami’s involvement? Or maybe even Kotaku’s own Tim Rogers?
OK, that actually gives these a little more credibility. Even more than that they were made with the possibility of being functional, but that the specific placement of the fake vents was developed with the input of already making a racing version of the car.
I don’t actually have a problem with fake vents. And I like the new Supra overall.
Daaaaamn that looks so much better than the new Supra. I still like the new Supra overall, but holy crap the concept was great and even did the unique face of the car way better.
JZX sedans came with 1jz not 2
Oh totally, good point!
Ha, I’m aware dude
It also seems like the engine isn’t making any additional power over stock here?
It’s kind of a successor to the JZX90 through JZX110 Mark II/Chaser/Cresta/Verossa Tourer-V since it’s the sportiest version of the X130 platform?
Yeah dude actually read that story, which starts as
uh car geeks like to keep their cars on the road buddy unless you are driving a rally stage
At least it has a better turning radius than Corollas. When I got my Japanese license the manual car for the driving test was a Crown Comfort and people just wanting an AT license used a Corolla. Everyone in the Corolla had to reverse on some twisty sections to avoid putting a wheel off the course and getting an…
Lol sure thing Kimutaku if you say so
Unfortunately there are enough people in southern California that have throw away money that are obsessed with Hollywood in general to the point where I’m sure someone would buy these even if they don’t like cars or Transformers in particular, but just because they were in a blockbuster movie.
Wow that really changes things. I guess the analysis could still have a purpose, to inform someone looking to buy a new car today which models available to purchase today have been kept for a long time, but that’s different from asking which cars from 15 years ago were the most reliable. Looking forward based on the…
It’s so confusing, because since this “event” is year-long I thought it was an acknowledgement that the event would overlap with other sports coverage like baseball...
That just shows the problem with glorifying the “good guy with a gun” meme. Even in the few places where one of these Good Guys helps, it’s to decrease the number of casualties, not to prevent an attack from happening in the first place. Putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.
Can you give a little more detail about shipping parts? I have basically zero idea how customs works but I like to daydream about importing a 25 year old Toyota every once in a while and would like to know more about the particulars of keeping something like that running.
