“Baby’s first RPG” is a weird take for Super Mario RPG.

What worked for remakes like FFVII:R needn’t necessarily work for “baby’s first RPGs” like Super Mario RPG. Ergo, maybe Nintendo knew exactly what they were doing by not introducing new gameplay mechanics, contrary to what was suggested by the reviewers being quoted here.

I still need to play Phantom Liberty and honestly think Idris should delve into gaming territory further. That trailer alone was fantastic to watch.

For Ganon I was actually envisioning regular VAs John DiMaggio or Steven Blum for the role. Let’s face it, Ganon’s going to be CGI’d all the way to Toronbo Shores and back. Might as well have someone who can express with enough vocal heft to boot.
