Q: why is the trial getting no coverage at all, over on Jzbl?

The inside take, from what I’ve read so far, is that Adonis was close to taking the prize. The committee wound up locked in tense negotiation, balked at potential controversy viz refugee politics, & wound up — somehow — at Bob Dylan.

That’d be a righteous take, if it were true. Sure, there’s influence from the blues & the minstrel songbook, & from weird old Appalachian folk & so on & so forth. Still, past the first album, there’s just no precedent for the sort of songwriting he invented.

All of our kvetching about the entrenched two party system is going to be so much tired, aimless noise unless we keep up a concerted push for instant runoff voting & a national popular vote.
