Completely agree with you. I’m not sure why people are crapping on Ellen for being nice or friendly with people. You don’t have to hate people that have differences from you. That’s a choice. It’s also short-sighted.

Haven’t researched it much but the Padres ‘give’ tickets to Navy families because there is a base nearby. I say ‘give’ because I’m pretty sure the Padres bill the Navy for all tickets used. 

With Greyhound racing outlawed in Florida, this seems to be a similar concept. I’ve adopted Greyhounds that used to race and I can understand if more regulation is needed but I don’t understand eliminating the sport(s).

I visited Salt Lake City for a weekend. A few things that blew me away:

Why? Cause I like new cars. Don’t want to do the work on them or even have the possibility of needing to do the work. It’s worth it to get a new car and keep the same monthly payment, plug in gap insurance and I see no issue.

If my auto loan is money flying out the window then what would you consider property taxes on your house (maybe they’re cheap for you, I’m in NY)? The 6% seller fee when you sell your house?

I’m on the other side of this argument. I will always buy a new car and I’m fine with the additional cost. I know it will not break down and interest rates are very cheap so financing actually makes sense.

Except you can enroll in classes in December with the early signing but you can’t if you wait until the traditional February date.

If it’s malicious like this, I see no problem with creative punishments. Why can’t the NHL initialize, you’re suspended as long as the other guy is out for an injury + 2 games?

His talent is what he brings to the field. He should be paid what he’s worth. Your skills not being worth $9m is not his fault, it’s solely yours. If you broke your leg and it cancelled the remainder of your career, you wouldn’t have been able to make the entirety of that $800k you mention.

The only teams they have a winning record against (so far) is the Mets at 3-1 and the Braves 2-1.
