Oh man. Me and the wife were watching. It was devastating. They came to memorial university in newfoundland back late 80s early 90s. Music of my life.

I’m pretty sure that was the most emotional moment in music history.

I never thought I could be this affected by a person dying whom I’ve never actually met. That final show Saturday night was unbelievable and something all of us hosers will remember forever. I don’t think there has ever been a more Canadian band than The Hip. Watching Gord wipe away those tears with that grimacing

The great thing about growing up listening to hardcore punk is that I don’t care what the hell they are saying. Stress from Brazil

The worst and best part about that is how Gord started to cry and got choked up. Grace, too indeed. Now and forever. Thank you, Gord.

The one other one they did here was Benny and Joon but nobody ever saw Johnny Depp around town because he’s Johnny Depp. Nobody ever saw that movie, either. My sister did sell some shoes to Mary Stuart Masterson, though.

They filmed The Seventh Sign a few houses away from mine in the late 80's. Didn't get to see Demi Moore though.

Grace, too. Second last song in Kingston on Saturday night. It gets pretty primal near the end. Here you can hear what it was like in the floor. They drowned out Gords voice. On the Saturday we only heard the band. He missed a few lyrics, used a teleprompter for some songs but it was all fantastic.

They did shoot a movie once in my home town. The only memorable thing about the movie was Madonna doing a song for it. Unless you’re really in to high school wrestling movies.
