Remember Milli Vanilli? You could put those guys (the dancing dudes, not the singing dudes) in Daryl’s house and they would sound great. I’m convinced.

That was a doop solo on the acoustic by my man there too. Daryl has the tight studio players up in his pad. I wish he’d have me over sometime.

This is damn good, Tim. Glad Deadspin still can bring the heat when necessary.

Goodgidgoddammit, FGMP, we are sympatico, hombre. If u post any more Curtis, I’m riding my moped over to your house with a 12pack of Pepsi and a tub of Combos. It’s gonna get weird.

Yeah, FGMP, get on with your bad self. That was u on the right at 1:04, right? You bad motorfinger

To u Jonee! And u KB2! Your the stupid assholes!

New Order has always been one of my favorite bands. I’ve always been a little ashamed of that for some reason. There’s a lot that goes into that I think, though none of which I’m equipped to deal with tonight. SO, in the meantime...fucking good post, MG. Regret is an underrated song.

This is incredible. Great post, Jonee! I had no idea he was still kickin. God’s work all of ya on the matter of celebrating Brenton Wood. Gimme a Little Sign is a personal fave. Dad’s clock radio often had that one playin on a lazy Saturday.

God bless you, Duana. I needed this. That outro is epic. Aretha is soul. Them clothes is making me nauseous.

I can remember getting into my brothers B52s albums back in the day. Was probably 82-83 and I remember my prepubescent self being mesmerized by the music and titulated by Cindy and Kate on the covers. Mostly it was the music though—odd and groovy, the guitar and drums set a solid foundation for the very unique vocals

Holy shit, I forgot this was a thing that actually happened. A feature length live action movie of the flintstones with Halle Berry, John Goodman, Rosie O’Donnell, and the dude from Twin Peaks? Fawkingshit. I would do some pretty messed up shit during the runtime of this movie just to avoid actually watching this

Perfect

Defuckinglightful. Thanks!

Haha yeah! There is a 90% chance I was high every time I heard this song when it came out. Therefore, this song gently nudges all those canabinoid receptors in my brain and starts a chain reaction of dopamine deregulation that brings me a modest amount of contentment.

+1

Unapologetically 80s. The Engish Beat became General Public and then in ‘84 they put out a deliciously 80s pop tune, “Tenderness”. It’s hard not to like even for a giddam cynical troll like myself.

This is god’s work, Erg.

Late to the party once more. One of these days I hope to get on DUAN before ya’ll are half in the bag.
