I should probably stop and stress that I do not have an issue with LA having a team or even two. I personally think that a lot of headache can be avoided by just starting a team from scratch, but that won’t be happening. What I objected to was the OP’s ham-handed way of saying “Pshaw, St. Louis doesn’t need a team”.

And your response? Carry on the same dumbass Will Farrell schtick and reverse what I said...even though you just condemned it.

You know, if you don’t want to watch the Kobe show drag on for months, you could try delaying your games a couple months and letting a more exciting sport have the spotlight to itself for a bit, rather than starting right the fucking second that the champagne of the World Series winners fizzles out.

Tonight, John Wall was booed by people who make foreign diplomats and CIA spooks roll their windows up when driving past their homes.

Wow. Even by Iowa standards, you’re a hick.

He needs to go to the Chargers.

It would make sense if he goes to the Browns. Since they play like Butt.

Yeah, because THAT response is genius Kinja.

Perhaps the offended teammate should be questioned by some people from Langley.

In other words, you don’t blame him for wanting to move and not be near people like you.

It doesn’t help that we keep kicking the shit out of them ; )

“and disposable income”

Only in the short term. Once advertisers see that the crowds are not biting, they will stop lining up. This is EXACTLY what happened the LAST few times they were in LA.

It isn’t just raw numbers. The economic situation has to be considered too.

I can personally vouch for the fact that KC reaches into the Omaha-Lincoln triangle(about 1.5 million people), and as far north as the Minnesota-Iowa border.

Since everyone has already made valid arguments, I’ll take the snarky road and point out that while the quantity of Los Angelenos may be high, the quality is low.

San Antonio. Toronto.

Ruh roh!! Here comes HomeBase to defend the sanctified ranks that he’ll never, ever join!

First off, I never said that. I only went as far into the argument as to point out that the business aspect of the sport is no game.

Yeah. Let’s put 2-3 teams in a city that has proven on more than one occasion that it won’t support one.
