This is a rare example of a sorted 540i. The timing chain guides have been done, and the cooling system has been refreshed. 16.5k might seem like a lot for a car with 150k miles, but finding a sorted one of these cars is rare. M-Sport with a 6-speed is rare, too. I think it’s worth what he’s asking.

E36 M3s are not cheap cars anymore. Nice ones (with reasonable mileage and manuals) go for 20k and up. This is about what you get for 7200 - an automatic 4-door with paint issues, a shot window regulator, and no mention of maintenance records. I’m assuming the miles are high, too.

I hardly ever vote ND when the majority vote is NP, but this is one of those times. You can get a manual version of these for the same money. It probably won’t be in as great of condition, but it’ll be much more fun to drive. You could probably get a New Edge (1999-2004) for 8k if you look hard enough.

If it was a manual, or had maintenance records, I’d call this a NP. Sadly, it has neither.

That’s not a ZR1.

The only problem with the SRT6 version of this car is it wasn’t available with the manual.

You can find a nice C5 for 15.5k.

I like manuals too, but this is going to be dull as dishwater to drive.

You’re on the wrong website.

The current insanity for late-70s Subarus???

I think they’d want less miles on BaT. 168k is a lot.

Shouldn’t a real Cobra have the lurid graphics on the hood? The Cobra badges bother me. I think it’s slightly ND, but ND nevertheless.

With cold A/C. Not to be underestimated in the South.

I always thought the last-gen Cougar made a pretty decent sport compact with the V6 and a stick. I liked their look.

If you follow the link, you’ll see that this sold for less than half the price 7 years ago. Yet I voted NP, because I don’t think there are many better ones out there.

Easy NP. The slash in the seat and dent in the door are insignificant, you’re not taking this thing to Cars and Coffee. I’m more concerned about the nonfunctional window, but that doesn’t sound difficult or expensive to fix. No surprise that it’s already been sold.

Don’t vote mileage, vote condition. And this condition is exceptional. No wonder the ad is already gone.

I voted NP because neither the seat nor the wiper motor seem to be big problems, it’s had the all-important timing belt/water pump combo, and it’s the desirable S model. I’ve owned two NA Miatas, and I never felt either one was “slow”. This car probably feels similar.

What makes you say that?

As opposed to the dog’s bollocks.
