Happy Endings has a very fuzzy continuity in general. Still a great show and one of my favs, but it's a bit sloppy at times.

It happened with Community too.

Also Dan Harmon shuffled the ep order for Community in seasons 1-3 so that ep's that he found to be stronger would air during sweeps.

I'm looking at wikipedia, and apparently the next two are going to be episodes 6, then 5. I wonder when they will finally air Ep 3. If they wait too long it's gonna be very awkward.
